Hire a Node.js backend developer

APIs and backend services that stay fast and stable when your traffic multiplies, from a developer who has fixed slow queries and outages on live products with millions of users.

Quick answer

I build and scale Node.js backends with Express, NestJS, TypeScript, MongoDB and Redis. I worked on the backend of DOP ($185M private sale, 300M+ users), scaled CV Maker from 200K to 1M+ users with about 60% faster APIs, and build Solidity contracts and Web3 services.

What I build

REST and GraphQL APIs

Clean structure, validation, authentication, centralised error handling and logging.

Performance and scaling rescue

Slow queries, timeouts, high CPU and memory: profiled and fixed, usually without a rewrite.

Data layer design

MongoDB schemas and indexes, aggregation pipelines, Redis caching and pagination.

Microservices and events

Services that talk through APIs, events and queues, with reliable background jobs.

Web3 backends

Solidity smart contracts, on-chain event indexing and multi-RPC failover.

Cloud and CI/CD

Docker, AWS, automated build-test-deploy pipelines and zero-downtime releases.

Results on real products

DOP (Data Ownership Protocol)

$185M private sale · 300M+ users

Read-heavy endpoints were timing out and MongoDB CPU was near its ceiling. Compound indexes and a Redis cache fixed it, and 5 RPC providers with failover ended transaction downtime.

CV Maker – Resume Builder

200K → 1M+ users

Indexing, aggregation pipelines, response caching and pagination cut average API response time by about 60% while releases stayed downtime-free.

TheCryptoBasic

2M+ users

Maintained the backend of a crypto news and market-data platform and fixed the JWT session bugs that were logging users out at random.

How a project works

  1. Scope call. We talk through the goal, the current state of the product and what success looks like.
  2. Written plan. You get fixed milestones, delivery dates and a clear price before any work starts.
  3. Build in small pieces. I ship in small steps with regular progress updates, so you always see what is built.
  4. Tested delivery. Delivery includes tests, documentation, handover and free support afterwards if something breaks.

Frequently asked questions

Can you fix a slow API without a rewrite?

Usually, yes. I profile the slow endpoints first, then fix the real cause: missing indexes, heavy queries, missing caching or blocking work. At DOP and CV Maker this was enough to handle millions of users.

Can you take over an existing codebase?

Yes. I read the code, map the risks and fix the urgent problems first, then improve the structure step by step without stopping releases.

Do you use TypeScript and NestJS?

Yes. I write TypeScript for Node.js backends and use NestJS as well as Express.

Which databases do you use?

Mainly MongoDB with Redis for caching. I design schemas and indexes for the queries the product actually runs.

Do you build Web3 and blockchain backends?

Yes. I have written Solidity contracts and Node.js services for Tomi (1M+ users) and worked on the backends of DOP and Rain.

Do you handle deployment and DevOps?

Yes. I containerise services with Docker, deploy on AWS, Heroku or a VPS, and set up CI/CD so every change is tested before it reaches production.
